Day (1) Yangon/Kyaikhtiyo
Early moning pick-up from your hotel in Yangon, and drive to the trail-head at the base of Kyaikthiyo Mountain. Board an open-air truck for an hour’s drive up the mountainside. Walk the final part of the climb (about an hour) to the Golden Rock Pagoda. Alternatively,walk the whole way up the lightly wooded hillside from the trail-head to the Golden Rock Pagoda. The walk is particularly scenic and takes about six hours. Lunch at local restaurant. Dinner and overnight at hotel.

 

Day(2) Kyaikthiyo/Bago/Yangon
Breakfast at the hotel, then proceed to Bago : Lunch at a local restaurant.Visit Shwemawdaw Pagoda and take a short walk to Hinthagon hill-top, on the way see the Moat and Gate-way to the 16th Century city of Hanthawaddy. Continue visit to Shwethalyaung Reclining Buddha and Kyaikpun Pagoda. Then return to Yangon and arrive in the late evening.
